You ask why do Republicans support George Bush. Umm because he is a Republican I guess. An awful lot of people don't see that he has disgraced the country and while I am not pleased with him I voted for him (I am a Dem) because the Dem Party produced such lousy candidates. Often times it is easy to go with the flow which is the negative press and assume that the whole nation does not like Bush. He is a war time president and thats always tough. The is also an assumption that the gains made my Party in the last election mean doom for the Repubs and thats may or may not be so. The people who won seats won them by being moderate Dems and not raging libs and so they unseated Repubcs by being better moderates than they are. But the national election will be different story. If we send out a whole bunch of loons on the national ticket then we will lose the White House again. Congress is only Dem now by a couple seats and we have Congressional elections coming up again in two years. If you watch the news you will form the conclusion that the whole country hates W and that has to be so because Danny DeVito and Barbara Streisand do...but thats not the whole voting population. I don't think the nation thinks that Bush has disgraced the nation, we just want a bettere. Mostly what my Party finds wrong with Bush is how he speaks and that really does not ring strongly with the rest of the nation...many of whom speak the same way. We could not have John Edwards and the Pres candidate because he is southern and talks funny.

properly, Bush's help point is at 30 % or maybe below that. this potential that no longer all Republicans like him. If all Republicans did like him, then that is larger. And that is basically some Repubs who shelter Bush.. in all threat the varieties of people who're very gentle appropriate to the Iraq war.. in all threat have a family participants member over there.. those varieties of human beings. i'm no longer asserting something damaging approximately those human beings yet this is the explanation why maximum of them shelter Bush. Edit: Bush won't be able to be whilst in comparison with Hitler and Stalin. He DID suck, yet he did no longer kill tens of millions of his own human beings.

How is this for an answer you might not like hearing from a Republican ............
It might have something to do with the fact Bush has been blamed for everything from starting an "illegal" war in Iraq to tsunamis and hurricanes to global warming.
The war is not illegal and Bush did not start it as most people rant and rave. Their senators and Representatives did .
Congress and the House of Representatives voted to go to war as required by law after reading intelligence reports provide by the CIA , FBI etc..... Senate voted 77-23 to authorize President Bush to attack Iraq ,the House approved an identical resolution, 296-133 hours earlier.
The War Powers Resolution of 1973 (Pub.L. 93-148) limits the power of the President to wage war without the approval of the Congress.

You are not a Republican. You're as Liberal as they
come. Bush has not disgraced anyone or any country.
They asked for our help, and like anyone with a good
heart, the President saw the need,( so did Congress)
and we went to war (with the okay to back him up).
Only when things didn't go good, did the liberals
decide it was wrong. Well, it's too late then when we're
already involved, so now to save face, we must continue
until we have whipped their butts. It would have been a
disgrace to wave the white flag to the terrorists and duck
our head and retreat (which is what Democrats would
have done). So, only the media and liberals think anyone
is a disgrace.

Your right somewhat! They are pointing fingers at Bush for getting us into a war over oil with a people that had done nothing to America, and "yes" Bush should have gotten his facts straight, and came up with a provable reason to go to war with Saddam so that he could legally kill the enemy of his Daddy, but as usual he blundered his way to war! Then to make matter's worse, Bush didn't forsee the enormous cost of sending us to war, nor did he seem to really care, nor did he understand the amount of innocent lives that would be taken as a result. Is it his fault? "YES" it is! Bush should have come up with a plan for the gradual withdrawal of our troops once Saddam was captured, but "no" he now wants complete control of Iraq as a way of taunting his enemy. We have no business there, and we should let those people settle thier own affairs! We had a Civil War in this Country to settle our affairs, and now we have a better Government as a result, and a consistent way of life, that recognizes the diversity of the multi-racial/ multi-cultural people of this Country. We still have a few problems that we need to workout such as: Erradicating racism completly or legally, Gun control, Court reform, automatic/ systematic Minimum Wage raises, and enacting Police anti-brutality laws.
It seems apparent that we need a new Leader, as Bush has failed us as he seemingly has had "No Plan" that has been productive, practical, and prosperous for the Middle and Lower Classes of people in this Country. His policies have ultimately been very divisive and destructive to the welfare of the masses, without posing any suitable alternatives to our current or previous situations. Under the Bush administration, crime is rampant, the economy is faltering, and our response to our own people in crises( Katrina and Rita) is atrocious, and was thought to be blamed on racism/ republicanism/ compassionate conservatism! We can't truly blame anything on the Democrat's cause the Bush Admintsration has largely undone most of the Clinton Adminstration's efforts and replaced them with their own. Wake up AMERICA! It's time for change once again!!!

There are some reps who belive the war on Iraq was justifued because supposedly Husseimnoffically declared war on the us years ago. I know some reps who still like him. Their reasons are varied: anti-abortion, anti-stem cell, and other typical hot spots. For most, these things do not outweigh the Iraq mess, but for some it appears they do. Personally, I didn't vote him and never would. In fact all bushes are out from now on, including the beer and shrubery.

I am an ex-Republican and I am embarrassed by him, too. I might not be embarrassed by the same thing you are, but I don't support him.
I am an EX-Republican. It's not that I have switched parties or have become an independent. I just don't vote any more.
I don't defend Pres. Bush. But I do mock those liberals who ask stupid questions about the President. Does that count as "support" ?

I'm a republican.
why can't you have a little bit of republican pride and support the president?
Sure we are still at war, good, we would be crazy to act like a bunch of little pussys and quit the war!
And yes, oil prices are high, but it isn't his fault, and besides, the USA still has the cheapest gas anywhere in the world, it doesn't matter who the president is anyways...
well..the biggest issue is the war. lets just stop complaining about the problems and talk about the good things happening in our country... jeez.

First off, nice disguise you POSER!
Secondly, I might not agree with everything President Bush has done or is doing but I still defend him because he has restored integrity to what Slick Willie degraded... the Oval Office. Our country is a much safer place than if it were a LIBTARD in office.
