That all depends on the offense. If it is a criminal violation you definitely should have a lawyer. If it is a traffic violation just bring lots of money. If you are involved in a civil dispute you may or may not need a lawyer.

Lawyer's do one thing for you, plea your side of a dispute, beg for judicial sympathy. How much sympathy you get is determined by how well your lawyer knows the exceptions of the law in the jurisdiction your case is being heard.

Best case scenario is the traffic violation. Forget the lawyer and bring lots of money. Even if it is a dui violation, you can do just as well as if you had a lawyer by simply begging for the mercy of the court and being willing to pay up. A lawyer will do the same thing but will just add to how much you pay. They call it a "slow plea of guilt". It is cheaper to do it yourself in this case. Good luck.

Depending on where in the U.S. you live, you may be able to "Quash" the bench warrant. Which means pay a small sum and establish a new court date. Call the clerk of courts to find out more... Hope this helps!

If it's for a fine just go to the clerk of court and pay it. They will then get the warrant dropped. If you want to contest the charges they will get you a new court date. But if you don't take care of it, even a minor traffic infraction can land you in jail.

A bench warrant isn't an easy one to wiggle your way out of. It depends upon your crime. If it is serious you had better get a lawyer.

Just go in.........better than getting picked up and arrested at an inconvenient time. You don't need to spend the cash on an attorney.

Don't be scared just go in and explain yourself - honestly is the best policy!! Ü

See an attorney, and have him come with you. If you have a legitimate reason for not appearing when you should have, he will be able to expalin it, and possibly get you a new court date.

You need to get to court asap. If this is for a traffic ticket, you don't need a lawyer yet though
