It's a hot girl who is usually cut out of a magazine (or just a photo) that guys can "Pin Up" inside their locker. The name came from WWII when GIs would have lots of 'pin ups' in their lockers.

Basically, a pin up girl is a model/supermodel...what boys/men would be hanging on their walls...Course, today they are more likely to be in Playboy, etc...
