I was installing a wireless keyboard and mouse. It needed to restart to finish the installation. so it shut down. When it powered back up all i get is a white screen. I hear the welcome sound but it stays at this white screen. I can't put any startup disk in it because the install disc is in it and wont eject.

First of all, I'm assuming you have a mac with a optical drive with a tray and not slot loading. When you start the computer, once you hear the sound, hold down on the mouse button. That should open the optical drive. Insert your CD and then you should be able to start from CD by holding down the 'C' button.

Before that you might try resetting the PRAM by holding down Command, Option, P, & R down simulatiously after you turn it on. Attached are the instructions from Apple.

Restart the computer and hold the mouse button. The disc will eject. If OSX just won't install then you could install OSX but don't do a fresh install. Just do the install that keeps all your files. Had to do it once, took like an hour or so but my old files were all still there.

First, unplug the new keyboard and mouse and plug the old ones back in. If it's a slot load you'll just have to use a paperclip to poke through the almost invisible hole in the CD slot and find the eject button.

ok, few themes you're able to attempt, im undecided if it is going to paintings. first, initiate it up in many situations. at the same time because it shows the spinny thingy, wait 5 secs, then hit return. The Mac will restart, with somewhat of luck thoroughly. If this doesnt paintings, attempt beginning with precise here keys pressed down: Apple, ctrl, P, R. This forces the Mac to restart. save on protecting on the keys till at last you hear the humming noise which you in many situations hear at the same time as beginning, for the FOURTH time. then, launch keys, and Mac could desire to start in many situations. If his doesnt paintings, call up Apple. with somewhat of luck, you're with indoors the warentee and with in 15 minutes from the closest Apple save. good good fortune

there is a little hole by the cd rom, put a paperclip in there and push it, this should eject the cd. Before putting in the boot up disk, try restarting with no disk!
