Hi mark, I'm unable to answer your first question, "How to end the pain????" as you don't mention what pain or its cause/source, etc.

Your second question is closely related to the third question in terms of least painful and how.

Your fourth question is personal and in violation of Yahoo! Answers' community guidelines (so I might just report you if you live long enough - but you'll need to come back every hour to let us know if it's worth our while reporting you).

Anyway, to answer your second (but not necessarily the third question or fourth one), the ancient Greeks used to lie in a hot bath with scented oils, tripping out their face on the local hooch (or in todays modern society I suppose LSD, amphetamine sulphate, magic mushrooms, mescaline, crack cocaine, ordinary cocaine, ecstasy, or any other vaguely hallucinogenic would do) - where was I?

Oh yes. Lie in a hot bath with a blunt and preferably rusty blade. Cut wrists up the arm - NOT across the way as that's too easy to sew up if you survive. Cutting lengthways from each wrist toward the inside of the elbow is much more efficient and difficult for the emergency services to do anything about.

So, if you don't die of blood loss quickly enough then you drown without being able to do anything about it as the loss of blood will cause you to pass out anyway.

And, allegedly, this "...is the least pain full way to die" if you're interested and motivated enough to kill yourself.

But this method isn't recommended if you're going to apply the procedure to someone else - specially without their permission, So, may I advise you don't do a practice run by trying it out on someone first. You'll get pain. Lots of it.

Additional EDIT: Mark, if you decide to follow the procedure remember and Vote me for Best Answer if it works. And leave a comment of thanks, or something like that. I like to be appreciated these days for not being as selfish as I used to be.

I have tried suicide twice so I've been there. They weren't half hearted attempts either. The first was with 50 mandrax and the second aged nineteen was with potassium cyanide and chloroform. I know it is hard to believe that I tried and survived cyanide but its true. God had other ideas for me and pulled me through. I took to alcohol and survived living with that as my friend until even that didn't work any more. But the overpowering pain that you feel can be treated with medication. Depression is caused by a chemical imbalance that can be treated. The medication that doctors use is very good and lifts that all enveloping painful knot in your stomouch and your whole being. It could be that you find that you would like to talk to someone about some painful episodes in your life also. I learned that sharing painful thoughts/memories also helped to lift my depression. If you want to talk to someone you could try your doctor or perhaps a priest who would keep everything you told him confidential. So give yourself a chance because you deserve it. Call in at your doc's tomorrow and he will help. It is 2.15am here in the UK and I don't know what country you are in but perhaps you can call an emergency call line if everywhere else is closed. You can email me if you think I can help. Also and not least please try a prayer even if you don't believe in God. Please just ask God for help and He will help you-usually through other people.

I got help, therapy and prozac for such feelings - before that I was wondering the same thing - I never did find my answer - I suggest you do the same brother, mental health professionals are trained to get you the help you need to carry you through these rough times.

But, if you're not referring to yourself, the least painful way to die, and how I would want to die is in my sleep - when I am old.

Before you decide to do anything, think about the people you'll leave behind. Yes, some may have hurt you. But i bet you've got lots that love you. They won't know what you're going through and would be really sad and upset to know that they could have helped you if only you would have said something. Please take no notice of all the horrid answers on this board. First of all is its time to go see your doctor and explain how you are feeling. You probably feel that there is never going to be anything good for you to look forward to, but there is light at the end of the tunnel, just speak to someone. You may need a little medication just to balance you out a bit. But please just think of the people you would leave behind, it would ruin their lives forever to know that you ended yours, especially any parents/brothers/sisters you may have. Believe me, you will feel better, no matter what you may think now. Good Luck to you.

Actually, nobody knows. Let's face it, it's not as if people are going to come back afterwards and tell you how painful it was or wasn't.

And, you know, rather than asking people on the internet how to kill themselves (because the internet is veritably stuffed with people who have had successful suicide attempts and will thus be able to tell you of the most fashionable way to shuffle off this mortal coil) rather than a qualified mental health professional isn't a good idea. At least a shrink might help you do it if he thinks your case is hopeless enough.

I am sorry to think that you are in such mental pain and anguish that you are contemplating taking your life.

I have a family member who suffers from manic depression, he often feels tortured by his own thoughts and often contemplates suicide, thank god his attempts have been un-successful.

You know you do have people in your life who love you and would be heartbroken at loosing you.

You obviously need help with making you feel life is worth living, of course it's hard and extremely testing at times, but it is worth being here.

I'm sure if you visited a cancer unit full of people who have no hope of coming out, each and every one of them would jump at the chance of living your life, albeit very unhappy at the moment.

I hope you have a close friend who you can tell how you feel, there is nothing to be ashamed about being depressed, most of us out here are, it's the learning to live with it skills you need.
Perhaps a friend would go with you to your doctor to give you support,I really wish you well.

God bless,I will be thinking of you.

Every night , someone thinks about you before

they go to sleep .

At least fifteen people in this world love you

The only reason someone would ever hate you is

because they want to be

just like you

There are at least two people in this

world that

would die for

you

You mean the world to someone.

Someone that you don't even know exists loves you

..

When you make the biggest mistake ever ,

something good comes from it

..

When you think the world has turned its back on

you , take a look you may have just

turned your back on the world.

Always remember the compliments you received

Forget the rude remarks

When you think about something that is a 'personal flaw' remember that the
people who care don't matter and the people who matter don't care.

never forget what really matters in life. no matter how much others put them down.

i hope that i was able to change your mind

There is no non painful way to die and no suicide is ever 100% so, get help from a professional and don't think about anyghing that stupid. You may end up with major problems like being an invalid and not die. That would be really bad wouldn't it. Get help. Call mental health and tell them how you are feeling they will get you help. Please. Good luck and God Bless you.

you would have to at least be either very drunk or very high on your drug of choice.. otherwise its just a huge waste of an opportunity to experience the greatest high of your life and not caring about the consequences.. and do something dangerous and daring that you never though you would do before you kill yourself.. i mean, why not? at least you will have experienced it..

from what i have heard the best way is to go climb a mountain fairly high one that is and drink a bottle of whiskey. the cold combined with your lower body temp (cause of the alcohol) means you just drift off. no pain or so they say
