I was told at the electronics store that the game was compatable with the 360--but its not working.

Not all XBox games will play on the 360. And the ones that do, require you to have an XBox 360 with a hard drive (either a premium system or a core system with a hard drive added on) and a "software emulator" download for each specific game. See the following link:

Hmm, I thought all of the original xbox games were compatible with the 360. Maybe it is just the game, maybe only the popular games were designed to work with it.

Some games work and some don't. First you need the hard drive.Microsoft releases patches through xbox live on a quarterly basis and usually adds support for more games. Currently over 200 games are supported. Go to xbox.com to see a list of games that CURRENTLY work.

x box games WILL NOT work on the 360 ! microsoft did not make the 360 backwards compatable with older games unlike sony with the ps3. if you want to play the older x box games you will have to get the older console ie x box.

you don't need anything. only some xbox games are compatible on the xbox 360, i know it sucks. this if the full list of games that work
