What can I buy to connect to it so I can install things and use CDs? How much do they cost and where can I get them?

You could buy a External CD/DVD Drive. It connects using a USB, there almost 80 bucks, but you could find something around 40.

An external CD-Rom drive, it will connect by USB so make sure you have a USB port.
They cost about $70-90, you can get them at any major retailer that sells computer products. Like Best Buy, Circuit City, don't know if you live in the U.S. though.

if you just want to use cds, you could probably buy an external cd or dvd drive from any computer store. it will work as long as you have usb/firewire ports. If it is an external cd drive it would cost $50 at the most, probably less. CD or DVD burners will cost you a little more, maybe up to $200 for a good DVD burner.

If you have no cd drive on your computer you will need to buy an external cd or cd/dvd or cdrw/dvdrw drive, depending on what you want. You can buy these on ebay, internet stores or your local electronics store, like best buy. They range in pricess, but you should beable to get a very good one for under 100.00 dollars.

You can get an external CD drive that will plug into a USB port for pretty cheap now days - probably around 30 dollars or so - try ebay even.

right now you probably have a drive that is not for disks and its probably for floppys. usually the laptop comes with a separate drive, but if yours doesn't you could easily get one at any computer store like best buy, circuit city or something like dell or whatever company your computer is.

my sister bought hers off a friend for 100 bucks, but im not sure how much they are, im guessing pretty expensive after all said and done (installation, issurance, etc.)

you can buy a CD drive that goes into your laptop and you can buy those at Wal-Mart for about $40.00 or $50.00.
