I'm a budget minded traveler and am interested in the single best tourbook complete with roadmaps. I want it to be the single "bible" that guides us through our trip. It would be nice if this book contained budget hotels and/or subway maps. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

I think the best road maps to get would be from a good reliable Automobile Association similar to AAA. I heard their maps are always updated, sometimes the ones from the stores don't have the updates.

Rick Steves is great! He has travel/tourist books for every country in the world. He has sections in his books for budget travel, and great suggestions for eating, shopping, entertainment.
