not that much different at all. Both think they knew what is best for the country and both have blown it, bush by the things we see now and lincoln, because among other things, he freed only slaves in the south as a war measure and left those slaves in the north, including the ones owned by his in laws in slavery. Most southern states at the time of joining the union reserved the right to withdrawl if it turned out to not be in their best interest, and yet Lincoln refused to allow them to do that and pretty much treated the southern states as we now do other countries in the world.

opposites!Lincoln gave rights and Bush tries to take them away. This was before the switch Lincoln was more of a Democrat. Lincoln was a friend of my great greatgrand father

These are two different eras and ways of thinking. I would consider Lincoln more of a Democrat in todays standards.
