YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO STOP WORRYING ABOUT SIDS WHEN THEY ARE 6 MONTHS OLD BY THEN THEY KNOW HOW TO ROLL OVER MOVE THERE HEAD AND EVERYTHING ELSE, AND IM PRETTY SURE FLAME RESISTANT SLEEPWARE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH SIDS, JUST MAKE SURE THE BEDDING IS NOT LOSE BUT VERY TIGHTLY SNUG ON THE BED AND THERE ARE NO LOSE OBJECT LIKE STUFFED ANIMALS ARE OTHER BLANKETS IN THE BED, MY FAVORITE BLANKET TO USE WHEN THEY WERE IN THAT SIDS AGE IS LIKE A BABY AFGAN WHERE THERE ARE HOLE IN THE BLANKET SO IF THEY PULLED IT UP OVER THERE HEAD THEY CAN STILL BREATH AND THEY CANT SUCK IN THE BLANKET TO GOOD BECAUSE OF THE HOLES

I can't answer the first question, because I've never heard of any link between SIDS and any sleepwear, other than that a baby that overheats has a higher risk of SIDS.

But the second...SIDS is the sudden and unexplained death of a child under one year of age. After one year, they are at no risk of SIDS (death can occur from other causes, of course, but they are not at risk of SIDS after one).

When babies are put to sleep on their back. Thats when it decreases. Usually once a baby is mobile, or past the first year, is when they out grow the major risk of sids.

Ive never heard of a link between fire resistant sleep wear.

loose tangling bedding, or very loose sleep wear can pose a smothering hazzard, or cause the baby to become entangled and not be able to roll away from the mattress or fabrics and thus smother to death.
