Not so much a stereotype, but a funny story. Two years ago on St. patty's day a friend got me a beautifully wrapped gift. Green Paper, silver bow, and inside was a potato.

Irish anger. Irish way of beating around the bush when giving directions. Um, you know, they really DO drink a lot (found this out while visiting family there). Irish moods. .....
That's all I can think of.

"Gift of the gab" = irish blarney = in Irish 'solabharthact'

Irish were depicted in 18th and 19th century English newspaper cartoons etc. as lazy subhumanoids. Jonathan Swift satirized this in his 1729 essay "A Modest Proposal."

I'm Irish so I heard them my whole life:
Potato eaters
superstitious
alot of people think that Irish people are "dirty" as in we don't shower enough
people also think we're tinkers, (well some of us are)

I knew a fellow who was Irish, born on March 17th and his middle name was Patrick.

He was weird, stubborn and naughty...Does that apply to all Irish men?
