I am trying to understand the inner workings of this fascinating woman. Instead of influencing the culture with her own work as she did in the 80's, she constantly 're-invents' herself to keep up with the times and constantly keep up with today's culture. Yet back in the early 90's when she completely went off the wall she blames her controversial actions as a tounge-in-cheek way of getting back at the media for invading every personal detail of her life. You either want to be in the spotlight and deal with the savage animal they call the media or lie under the radar and lead a reletively normal life. She can't have it both ways.

Now I don't care whether you love her or despise her. My question is to gather people's opinions on why '-re-invents' herself, what happened to the Mo of the 80's, and what's next?

-THX

Madonna is set for life, financially speaking. And so are her kids... do you not think it's anything deeper. Go back to the late 70's, she always had this monsterous ambition. She's already proven everything she needs to prove, she OWNED an entire decade. What is ticking up in that girl's brain?

I am deadly serious. See SUNSET BOULEVARD, if you never have. Once you have the eyes of the world on you, you not only think you are so great you deserve it forever, but the thought of losing it scares you almost to the point of suicide.

she has to keep re-inventing herself as that is how she keeps making money. You have to give her credit to be her age and look as good as she does, and still sing songs that are of interest to the masses. I think she has gotten a bad rap lately. Keep in mind Yes she has Lots of money but She does not spend it all on Herself. Do you have any Idea how Many People she HELPs! To all the people that Hate her, Who do You Help?

the only reason i can think would be vanity. sure she has enough money to live more than comfortably for the rest of her life and also let her children live with out worry too....but you have to think that she is no longer a spring chicken. why else does she focus soo much on keeping her body fit- looking more like a 25 year old than most actual 25 year olds. stopping now would mean that she doesn't have what it takes to entertain todays youth. and that is her target audience. it is all about vanity.

I don't know why I'm even bothering to answer this question, but I am a lifelong performing/recording musician who plays 6 instruments. I am working on my 3rd album.

Madonna - and mind you, I don't even own any of her CDs - is one of the most powerful women in the entertainment business, whether you LIKE it or not.

This woman not only sings....not only dances....choreographs...and has sex appeal.....men like you who whine about her appeal would be the FIRST in line with their pants around their ankles if they had a chance to f___k her.

Unless you can actually PLAY an instrument or have any significant MUSICAL TALENT, don't come around here whining about Madonna, ok?

All these younger little ho's aren't even worthy to hold her panties.

Period.

Deal with it.
