i just never liked using a urinal incase someone would see me today was the first day i used a urinal with some one in the room he was washing his hands tho im 12 is ths normal what age did you guys start using urinals at!?!?!

Many guys are nervous about using the urinal. It's nothing to worry about. Go to some large bathroom you're not likely to know anyone - like a baseball stadium - and just get up there and wait it out. Think about waterfalls and sooner or later you'll be urinating like a racehorse. After the first time it gets easier.

Use it whenever you are old enough to reach it. Use it whenever you can pee and not being self-conscious. Penises come in all sizes, shapes, color, and circumcision status. If you can't pee after waiting a few minutes at the urinal, especially if someone is in the men's room or standing next to you, use a stall. Being pee shy is very common especially in young adolescents. So keep on trying.
The important thing is to pee when you need to and in a place that is comfortable for you when you are away from home.

Always have, but for years was shy to go when there was someone next to me. Then I realized every guy has the same equipment, all have to pee, they aren't seeing anything you have that they don't already have.
Sounds like you also need to get more familiar with your own body, and be more comfortable being seen nude--go to the Y or a gym, or join a PE class so you will get used to seeing other guys and having other guys see you naked. Nudity is normal, it is modern sociiety that has made it taboo except in the john or in the locker room.

young man try not to let it worry u about using a urinal when someone else is around. i was selfconsious when i was ur age also about using it. but it will pass in time. everyone goes through this stage. everyone uses a urinal. this is normal, ull be fine. god bless

Some guys have a hard time doing that. But most don't. Just realize that when you feel a certain way, some other guys do too.
Also you're at an age when you feel self conscious about things like this. It will pass.

I think youll be ok. It is normal to not feel comfortable using one, especially if its a trough like one with no dividers between you and the next guy. I still dont like to use them that much, but thats just my choice. Its all up to you to decide. I still prefer the stall, but do make sure you lift the seat in case the next person has to drop duece.

Honey that is perfectly normal and I am a woman. I never had to do that and frankly I don't understand why we have privacy and men, and boys don't. It's just never made sense to me. I have girls, thank God. I'd probably have whimps if I had boys because I'd be so worried about perverts and such. Just know it is normal and you are brave and it is fine to be aware of who and what is going on around you...I would and that's the truth. Just be brave and careful. Love coming your way. Good luck. It'll be alright dude. Don't worry about what other people think about you. Whether you are "small" or whatever ya think, you are normal and ya have nothing to be ashamed about. Once you realize and really really take all of that to heart, you won't have to worry about taken a p*ss in front of anyone.

as soon as they can reach.. they use it.. besides, if anyone stares at you.. say "UGH! YOU QUEER!" it'll help =)
