Often times, a lot of terrible things happen in foster care. Some kids feel that they aren't loved and that their parents (biological) might have hated them so much that they put the kids into foster. Some foster kids get adopted and have a good life but for others...who knows. That's why when I think of foster kids, I think of maybe working with them (and maybe adopting one or two) and giving them a chance of having a "normal" life.
Sorry I wasn't a foster kid but I couldn't help answering this question

I was in foster care from birth to 3 months so I don't remember it but my mom (adoptive mom but she's just mom to me) told me that I never cried or laughed or showed any emotion at all for the first few months after she took me home. She said the foster home had about 18 kids in it and I was just one of a number of infants and probably didn't get much attention. Years later her boss (he was a head shrink) told her that I probably learned crying did no good and quit trying, and also said I'd probably have issues with reactive attachment disorder, which I do to a small degree.
