Has the Service Engine Soon light come on? That is a sign that there is a repair needed. Also, could be that you need to clean out the throttle body, and the IAC, or even the Mass air meter. Hope these help. Good luck.

If any of your problems are detected by a sensor the check engine lite will come on. If it not on look for a problem in the idle air control system, a vacuum leak, a dirty throttle body, incorrect ignition timing (retarded), or an evap. system valve stuck open causing the engine to flood with fuel vapor.

First, when is the last time your car had a tuneup?? You might need new sparkplugs, oil change and filter, new air filter..... and clean your fuel injectors...... preventative maintenance will keep your car running like a champ for many years.....
