I need a cure for cramps...really bad ones....I've tryed the Ivprofin 800mg and that seems to calm it down but not to much..I've also tryed the Midol...and that seems like it hasn't done anything. Plus im on the pill which should make them not as bad but it doesn't seem to help....I'm in so much pain help. Do u know of anything I can do really quick that can help them go away or die down?

P.S. I've also tryed taking a really hot shower and that seems like it hasn't helped either...I think I might call the doctor in the morning and let them know whats going on.

Ok well I'm using the heating pad and all now but I've felt really sick...I've gotten some really bad diarrhea (which caused me to get up from the comfort of the heating pad) plus I feel so sick that I'm going to throw up too...Idk if this is just from the cramps or if its from anything else...I haven't felt this way before. Anyways thanks for the answers.

Instead of a heating pad. Get some Therma Care pads for Mentral Relief. They stick on your skin and you can wear it up to eight hours. Its just like a heating pad but with no cords. Ive used them and they really help. Ive even used them when I was recovering from a c-section and helped me then too. Good luck to you.

Yeah I just posted a question on this topic myself. I to have very bad cramps. When I find a medicine that works for me, after taking it often, my body gets used to it and it wont work anymore either. I have tried it all from midol to Tylenol, to prescribed medicine. A heating pad really seems to help relax the muscles. I usually lay down with my heating pad and just try to sleep the pain away. I also know that things that are cold make the cramps worse like cold drinks, cold air(environment) all make them worse. I myself am about to get on birth control ASAP! Good luck to you

Say this with me..."The heating pad is my friend. The heating pad is my friend." If you don't have one, I highly recommend you get one. It doesn't work immediatley (it make take a few 15 minute cycles for the heat to work through), but it kicks in after a little bit and helps you feel warm and fuzzy when you're otherwise feeling gross. I'm also a HUGE fan of Aleve for cramps if you can take naproxen sodium (the pharmaceutical name for Aleve). It starts to work in about a half hour or less and keeps them at bay all day long.

You may want to actually get that checked out. A sign of bad cramps is a sign of endometriosis. I had bad cramps and they found endometriosis when I went in for a day surgery. It's something worth getting checked out.

I used to use heating pads all the time. Another thing to consider is birth control that actually helps people that get bad cramps becuase the pill makes your periods a lighter flow.

Your birthcontrol should help your cramps, depending on how long you have been taking it.

I've always used heating pads, it helps..You should see your doctor if it's giving you this much trouble. I hope you feel better.

If you have tried all those things and nothing has helped you should see your Dr. Around age 23 my cramps starting getting worse and worse and like you nothing seemed to help. I went to the Dr. and I was prescribed Celebrex which is also prescribed for arthritis. Hope this helps, good luck!!

Believe it or not, my daughter who was 13 at the time would get physically sick when it was time for her period. The cramps would be unbearable, I took her to the Dr., and the Dr. prescribed Celebrex. They seem to work for my daughter and she does control the cramps with those pills.

Try using a heating pad over your abdomen. Should feel better while it's on.

Have you been drinking lots of water? If not, drink more water and try to eat foods that aren't salty. Water retention causes cramps and salt will help your body retain water - which doesn't help you out at all. Keep drinking fluids! Good luck!
