Last week I rode on a school bus...I had forgotten how violent a ride they can be...especially when I was fiercely jarred over railroad tracks! I am 22 weeks pregnant and am concerned that damage may have occurred to the baby. I know she is in amniotic fluid, but I worry that it was too much trauma...you know how women are when they are pregnant. Baby is still moving around.

No the baby will not be harmed by riding on a school bus. He/she is well protected by the amniotic fluid and the extra pounds that you on during pregnancy. I know of people who actually fell on their bellies and their babies are OK. I would not worry...but if you are at all concerned, please go see your doctor. You know better than anyone if there is a problem. You'd rather be safe than sorry. Good Luck and congradulations on your pregnancy! ;)

When I was 6 weeks pregnant with my first child I was in a terrible car accident. The car hit a telephone pole flipped over onto its roof and scooted about 30 feet. I climbed out from under the passenger side dash ( I had been the driver.) My son is an 18 yr. old getting ready to graduate high school, interested in the regular teen stuff (mostly girls) so my answer is no, I think your baby is fine.

yes, school buses don't have shocks but I don't know if it's dangerous for the baby. Ask your doc! That's the right answer.

One other think - 1 answerer said something about the other kids on the bus which I didn't understand. How does that effect the rest of the kids on the bus -

I don't think it's such a great idea, because of the other kids alone.
