I agree with your first answer, ebay........you'll probably get top dollar for it. don't do the pawn shop thing. Best of luck to you.

Do you mean one that you built yourself starting with hunks of wood, or one that you assembled from parts that you bought elsewhere?

If you built it yourself from scratch I've been there, done that many years ago until my company took off... so did Paul Reed Smith for that matter... don't expect to find anyone who'll give you anything near the money you have into it. Best thing to do is to find a sympathetic guitar shop who will put it on consignment for you.

If you are talking about a guitar built from-say- Warmoth parts- thats how you advertise it. For example "Warmoth Strat with SD pickups and FR bridge" blah blah blah. Again, don't expect to get your money out of it.

Thats a curious thing... building a guitar on your own is always much more expensive than buying one off the shelf that may even be better quality than the one you slaved over. Go figure...
