i had a man tell me that i should look for a 5 speed tranny for a 992 mustang 2.3 instead of the automatic and he aslo said that the stuff for the pedal was alreadin in the car i was wonder if that was true and if so, what is the transmission i am looking for? thanks

Well, all depends on whether or not U want a manual trans or not. Just because a mechanic has a personal preference on a certain thing don't mean crap. Also alot of times its not just a pedal thing... Usually automatic trans engine fuel injection systems & manual trans engine fuel injection systems are tuned or programed different. Be carefull of that. My advice: Reinstall what belongs in the car... U'll have less agrivation. If U don't like it after, get rid of it...

you should put an automatic if that whats in it now,, and as far as the pedals go do you see a clutch pedal.. I THINK NOT...
you would half to by the bracket with the pedals on it at a junk yard and would half to remove the dash to change it..
now thats just a headache

Definitely not. The only reason to go through all that trouble would be if you had a burning desire to have a manual. Stay away from people who tell you what you want.
