It depends on the person. I realized that I had always been gay when I started college but I tried to repress it and finally came to terms with it and accepted myself for who I am when I came out of the closet at 27.

I don't really think there is a "set" age... I didn't come out until I was 19 years old, but I have known probably since I was 17. I always knew I wasn't attracted to men, I just didn't know why. I always thought "I just have to find the right one" Then, I realized, I was a lesbian... You experience, and time will tell. Just give it some time... Don't rush, and don't go off telling everyone just yet either :) Good luck!

It's different for everyone. It's not unusual for people to be in their 40's, or sometimes even older. More and more, though, people are noticing in their adolescence (essentially when straight people start to realize what it means that they're straight). The latter is how it was with me.

Realizing that and accepting it are also two different things, but I won't get all into that.

It varies - when speaking to straights and newspeople they claim teens to early 20's but when speaking to other gays most started by 2nd grade (about 8 or 9 years old). It is usually apparent before the onset of puberty.

Looking back, I always knew I was gay to some extent - even in preschool. It became more apparent when I was 9 or so, in the very beginning of puberty. Still, I didn't fully come out to myself until I was 21. So, it's always there, it's something you are born with - just different people are ready to accept it at different points in their lives.

I was 18.
I was introduced to my future partner at my first employment. We shared the same interests including classical music and gardening.
We went out together on many occasions and would exchange a kiss when saying goodnight. On on occasion, we kissed rather passionately and Gwenneth said that we ought to talk about where this might be leading. 3 years after we met, we purchased a house and lived together for 42 years.

It varies, when they are in their early teens, they might notice that they are attracted to the same sex, but don't understand why. Once they have grasped the concept of homosexuality, it will all make sense. I think I realized it when I was in junior high and finally accepted it during college.

I think that gay people realize they are gay at a young age. I think you can see it with some of the kids now, the ones who act more girly and tend to cling to guys more ( not meaning dad cause thats normal). Maybe around 4-5 when beginning to speak full sentences and have half conversations with people. some say gays are born gays, but i dont think so.

I watched an NBC report on this like a year ago and it was very interesting.

It's different for everybody...just like straight people. Some know it in kindergarten and others know it in sixth grade. Just depends on the person.

Like I thought boys had cooties until fifth grade.

It depends. I guess i first realised I was gay when I was about 12, but it took me until I was 16 to admit it to myself.
