I do not know how to go around this charge.
I am recently paying 10 cents from Cingular and the rate will be increased to 15 cents starting January 21st.
Keep me informed of any development.
Thanks for the question.

I use Alltell, and I choose which rate I want for a "regular" fee, whether it's 300 messages (coming and going) or a larger number of TM's for a larger fee, but if I go over the amount I purchase on a monthly program, then I pay the 10 cents or so for incoming and outgoing TM's. God Bless you.

check the Verizon website. I know on Sprint's website, you can send text msg's from the net to the persons phone. You can on US Cellular too. im not sure how it works to receive them back tho. i *think*, thru us cellular, the person can text u back and it will go to ur email

With Verizon, either you have a package or you pay by the msg. This txting thing don't come for free...
