In Genesis, Satan raised the question of God's right to rule. He deceived Eve by saying that God was withholding something from her by not allowing her and Adam to Eat from only one tree in the garden of Eden. She listened to Satan and ate from the Tree and her husband, Adam followed. So God set things in motion for mankind to try and rule themselves. What an utter failure we have been. Bad and Good things happen to all people because the bible shows us that we are far from perfection and we need his righteous standards. It also tells us that Satan is temporarily the ruler of this world. What good can come from that! What is wonderful is that God also promises that all the suffering man has gone through will be erased from their memories after Armageddon and those who have died because of this wicked system will have a second chance to live by means of God's resurrection promise.

Things happen, but some things make bad things more likely, and good things rarer.
If you constantly do bad things to people, or are unconcerned by their misfortunes, They wont like you!
Perhaps they will never be in a position to help you, or warn you, or warn somebody about you. Then again they might, and if enough people feel that way, then it is likely. Or just possibly they will be crazier than you, and find a way to take revenge.
Likewise the reverse is true as well, most people will try and help someone they like if they can, and even come to their defense if unfairly attacked.
However, it is not Magic, many people do bad things, and natural stuff happens all the time. Being honorable and prudent is as good as you can get, but to live is to risk, and everyone is absolutely certain to die of something, though it is almost never more than one thing, so you need not worry about the other things ;-).

The bad things that happen to good people can be separated into the evil caused by other people and the bad things that happen that were not caused by another like disease. The evil that men do is disproportionately visited on the good because good people don't spend their time developing evil plans so they are totally unprepared for this evil occurrence. God; however, is not the cause of either because it is results either from the unrestrained free will of another or it is a result of the fact that we life in a mortal body and everyone who is born dies.

There are two categories of bad. There is first the perceived bad of a test. This we know now not to be bad but an opportunity for development. The other part of bad is a hidden good waitng to be let out. Here, there is an absence of revealed good where our task is to convert darkness into light. This is, after all, our mission on earth.
So really there is no bad at all. There are various goods; those which come in terms of tests which require practice to identify as such. Separately, there are those things with which one comes into contact, where there exists an opportunity to elevate and refine. Our task is to uncover the apparent lack of good, thereby bringing out more good.
What of children who die, people with terrible terminal diseases, great natural disasters or deliberate human evil? One's heart must break with pity and empathy. One of our most important tests is to help. Every action is worth a thousand sighs. But the truth is that ultimately it cannot be said not to be good until all the evidence is in; and the evidence is not in in one lifetime and it is not in in one consciousness.

Things happen to us all. You might not think so but it does. It is said that it happens to make us stronger!!!!!!! When things happen to me, I am upset for that moment. I sit down and evaluate the situation, and I try to push myself to move on. I work with the public, people sometimes are not easy to talk to early in the morning. I have to treat each person the same, even if they are nasty to me. In the long run it helps me get through the day. Plus, I have to be professional. Did this help???

Things happen to people. Our personal subjective choice is to see the people and things as bad or good.

Because good things & bad things happen to everyone. It'd be really easy to be a "good person" if nothing bad every happened to you... kind of would be meaningless to call someone good if that were the case.
What type of person someone is is made evident by how they handle adversity & difficult situations.

Bad things happen to good and bad people. It just really bites when it happens to the good ones. That's why it's always stereotyped like that.

To test how good they really are, and see if they will stand up for what's right or if they will lie down with the rest of the dogs in the world. In the end, their morals will only get stronger, and they'll be a beacon to others, not a burnt out bulb.
