Hi! I've seen almost everything, but I love war movies, especially historically accurate ones (and even more specifically, WWII). For example, Band of Brothers (I know, it's a miniseries) is one of my absolute favorites. On the other hand, I don't really care for ones like Full Metal Jacket and The Deer Hunter. Any other suggestions? THANK YOU!

Haven't seen too many, but if you run out of movies to watch and decide you might like to read a book, try All Quiet on the Western Front. It's an account from a German soldier - more about the human experience of war than the politics of it. You might have encountered it at school.

"The Longest Day" is outstanding. It has everyone who was anyone in Hollywood in its cast. Also, "Patton" with George C. Scott is awesome. He won an oscar as best actor. Third would be "To Hell and Back" with Audie Murphy. He was the most decorated American soldier in WWII. He received something like 47 medals in the war, and the movie is very accurate.

If you watch these you will see the best of the best, the cream of the crop of old WWII action flicks. Don't forget "Tora Tora Tora."

Wind talkers, it's about he war in vietnam (Nicolas Cage)

Behind Enemy Lines, pretty much it's a snipper war (Jude Law)

Black Hawk Down, it's pretty cool coz it happened in one day only

Hamburger Hill and Platoon are pretty darn good Vietnam era war movies. Apocalypse Now is awesome but it's pretty long and psychological, not alot of action in it. Gettysburgh is a pretty awesome movie as well. But again it's very long.
