I just took some beef out the fridge to put in a sandwich and told my partner that I would leave it out for a while to "cool down" as it was too cold 4 me.He said {in all seriousness }that if it cooled down, then it would be even colder. So I tried to explain that I wanted it to "chill out".I WANTED THE COOL DOWNED AND THE CHILL OUTED,MAN!!!Would you have understood what I meant?!

By the way THINKYMINK,the beef was not frozen. It was in the FRIDGE...Yesterday's Xmas grub leftovers and "thaw" means to defrost something.

no not really... your partner was right.
you wanted the beef to warm up, not cool down.
maybe you meant THAW out.
