I went to the doctor about 1 week after my 20 week ultrasound and he said that she looks like she may be about a week earlier than he thought. He also said that at my next visit (in 4 wks) I'd be about 27 weeks. I thought I'd only be 25 or 26. So how many weeks do I say I am when people ask? Do I stay with the weeks since my LMP or try to compensate for how she measured in the ultrasound?

Ultrasound is a guess, compared to a database of information. Unless your baby is going to be exactly 8 pounds, you should expect the ultrasound to be off a bit. Just remember that 38 weeks is the early end of full term, 42 weeks is the later half, and 40 is the average. It is also normal to have the baby a week earlier or later than that. Stick with LMP, unless you know know what the conception date was.

just stick to 5 months when people ask. if u say it in weeks they look at u blankly while they convert it into months anyway! plus, the doctors can't be 100% about the 'age' of the child its if the tell u that ur 39 weeks on ur next scan that u wana worry!! just trust ur midwife, she knows what she talking about
