1) Get away from counting calories and wondering how many sit-ups you should do. You're going to drive yourself insane. Embrace what you eat, and eat in moderation. Don't be so consumed with calories. Eat slowly and until you are full, drinking 1-2 glasses of water while you eat. Don't deny yourself the foods you love--just eat less of them.
2) Run at night. Do pilates. Start small before you move up. If you get winded easily, try walking for 30 minutes a night. You can't run until you can walk.
3) Get off the scale. The more focused you are on a number, the harder you're going to be on yourself. Weight loss like this isn't going to be immediate. You have to take it slow. Weigh yourself only once a week and measure yourself every month. That's it. The rest of the time stay focused on your exercise. Every night do something--even for 30 minutes.
4) Set a reasonable goal. Seventy pounds in 4 months is a little under 20 pounds/month. That's 5 pounds/week, which is pushing it. Instead of that, focus on your waist size. I'm guessing you are around a size 18/20? Set a goal for 12/14 by August. It's do-able.

Okay so i read in Seventeen magazine that if u want to lose weight, u shud only consume around 1,500 calories a day, but if u want to gain weight u should consume around 2,000-2,500, but u shouldnt go and count calories because that just doesnt make any sense. so what u should do is watch whatever u eat. Like for breakfast dont eat anything too heavy, like pancakes or waffles with syrup. eat something like a piece of fruit, banana or an apple. if u cant eat fruit try a cereal bar or a bowl of cereal. then for lunch make sure u eat lots of steamed veggies (my first diet thats all i ate, steamed veggies with white rice) and i lost about 10 pounds in 1-2 weeks! and excerise is always a must, u dont have to do yoga daily, why dont u buy a hoolahoop like while ur watching tv u can hoolahoop i can hoolahoop thru a whole episode of family guy that show is hilarioius!! also if u have a stair case in ur house like i do u can climb the stairs u dont nessacerily have to run just climb up and down when u feel liek u cant take it anymore take some rest maybe 10-15 mins and start again and make sure u drink lots of water to clean oils in ur body and i also heard green tea is very good for u as well but not the green tea snapple! thats fake! buy some green tea leaves and pour some hot water in them and drink very cleansing!
hope this helpsz!

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.
I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.
It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.
Get started today!

This is just my personal opinion, but I think 70 lbs in 4 months is an unreachable goal. Or at least an unhealthy goal. Most weight loss guides say you should aim for between one and three lbs per week. That's between seventeen and fifty lbs in a four month period of time. You have to be careful setting too high of a goal. It can have unhealthy results. You could risk hurting yourself, or ending up in disapointment when an unreachable goal fails.
One more thing. If you're 5'11 then you have to realize you're going to weigh more than someone who's only 5'5. At least you should if you're a healthy weight and not anorexic.
Consider joining a weight loss group. Curves is great because everyone else there is going through what you're going through. It can help more than you realize. Good luck.

Doll, you didn't gain 70 pounds in 4 months and it will not be healthy to lose that much in 4 months. A change in diet to limit calories to 1500 per day will help and with plenty of raw vegetables and fruits you will feel full all the time. Running, jogging, situps, cardio, aerobics, etc -- along with plenty of sleep will help. Also, go through the pantry and throw out all snacks. No more breakfast cereals with sugar. Use Oatmeal or grits with butterbuds as flavoring. Limit sugars and carbohydrates. Go to weightwatchers. HAVE PATIENCE. Good luck to you. Let us know what you did and how well you did. Try for 10 pounds per month at max and be satisfied with 7-8 pounds. Remember, you have to learn new eating habits to maintain the weight.

Start with diet and moderate exercise first (brisk walking for 20 minutes, 3 times a day to start)
Cut out processed sugars and breads.
Focus on fruits and foods that are not "processed" (high in fat).
Eat smaller portions 4 times a day rather than 3.
Avoid eating after 7:00 PM.

normally, people should eat between 2,000-2,500 calories per day, deppending on different things. what you should try is walking, then as time progresses, start walking more briskly, and pace yourself. if you can, after a while, take 5 min. run, 5 min. walk, etc. i would say an hour of yoga is healthy, atleast 45 mins. to a half hour.

Start walking briskly, and build it up to running. Then, get into the martial arts or some other sport that's interesting.

Try walking. Start at a pace you can handle and build up to a fast walk.
