Yes it is. It is for people who do not have the wit, nor the differentiational skills to be sardonic. You will find that in a good dictionary, the primary meanings of the two words are not synonyms.

Sardonic; to be morbidly jocular

Sarcastic; to bitterly wound.

Now, you can see why losers use sarcasm; it is a cheap attack, masking as wit.

Sarcasm is OK sometimes. It's not ok to hurt your friend's feelings with sarcasm.

It's OK to use sarcasm to make a point that is noble. Sarcasm is for immature folks who are insecure. Young people in their 20s love sarcasm because they haven't achieved much and want respect and recognition.

Once you get a little older you realize you keep the friends you uplift with support and thoughtfulness and don't tear down with sarcasm.

People like being around people that make them feel special.

Sounds sentimental but its true.

I love sarcasm, I use it and I like hearing it. It's funny. I don't consider myself a loser in any way, and if anyone else does, I don't concern myself with that. I just like to have a good time.
