If your traveling internationally yes you will. The State Department Website says,

"Beginning January 23, 2007, ALL persons, including U.S. citizens, traveling by air between the United States and Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean, and Bermuda will be required to present a valid passport, Air NEXUS card, or U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Document, or an Alien Registration Card, Form I-551."

and it goes on to say,

"As early as January 1, 2008, ALL persons, including U.S. citizens, traveling between the U.S. and Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean, and Bermuda by land or sea (including ferries), may be required to present a valid passport or other documents as determined by the Department of Homeland Security. While recent legislative changes permit a later deadline, the Departments of State and Homeland Security are working to meet all requirements as soon as possible. Ample advance notice will be provided to enable the public to obtain passports or passport cards for land/sea entries."

No passport is mandatory to fly from one usa city to a distinctive till you're a foreigner here on a visa.... you will need some sort of photograph identity- - - a license, a police identity, college identity, despite... besides the shown fact which you're below 18 so i'm no longer as constructive you like it as much as an person will... yet you ought to have some sort of photograph identity regardless while vacationing... you could pass to DMV and get a non-driving force's license photograph identity card...

If you are traveling there from someplace in the United States you do not. If you are flying in from any other country, like Mexico or Canada, you do. If you are crossing the Texas/Mexico border by driving, bus or walking, you do not until January 2008.

If you are not a US citizen, you absolutely do... (I'm not sure about Canadian citizens, but you should never travel to another country without your passport).
