They say when you are ovulating, so ten days or so before you are supposed to get your period is the best time for them to get to the egg.
If I were in your shoes I would try as often as possible. I know some couples have a hard time setting the times aside for "trying to get pregnant...." However, I would try as often as possible, even if it means every day... or every other day. the more you do the greater your odds of conceiving are. I have heard that there are also certain positions to set your body in that might help the sperm to find their way to your egg. I suggest talking to your OBG-YN about this.
Good luck to you

Your ovulation time usually depends on the lenght of your cycle. Get one of those ovualtion tests over the counter, they are great in predicting what that precious window is, and really easy to use, just use your urine. From your ovulation peak, you usually have 48 hours period in which you are most likely to get pregnant! Good luck.

Every day, all day long.
I can't guarantee that you will get pregnant, but you will have fun trying. The stress of trying too hard can make it even harder to conceive.
