I'm pro-life without exception, and I could not in good conscience vote for Bush because he is anything but pro-life. Not only has he done nothing to stop the yearly slaughter of 1.3 million preborn human beings in the U.S., he is responsible for the killing of tens of thousands of innocent human beings in Iraq as well. For more on Bush, I recommend:

Just for the record, the men Bush appointed to the Supreme Court are NOT pro-life. Alito struck down a ban on partial-birth abortion in New Jersey, and Roberts has publicly said that Roe V. Wade is settled law which is "entitled to respect." The court recently refused to hear an appeal to overturn Doe v. Bolton, the case which made abortion legal throughout all nine months of pregnancy for any reason. The appeal was filed by Sandra Cano ("Doe"). There was no dissent from Alito or Roberts. I'm not surprised.

Now that the house is 99% Democrat he won't be able to. Besides it's not right for one person to make a decision for a country of women. Some oppose it because of religious dogma, religious or emotional belief or whatever. But these people are also the ones that be live in the death penalty. Crime rate nation wide has gone down 13.5%. Many believe it's because of abortions. The thing is that I support the right to choose. I don' think it should be something like Oh I broke a nail so I need a manicure= Oh I got pregnant so I should get an abortion but I do think it's important that women have that choice and use it wisely and after much thought and prayer.
Do you realise how many women where hurt maimed or killed while abortions were illegal? A LOT! It was worse back than when both the mother and the baby died or were maimed from a botched abortion or self abortion with a wire hanger? Legal abortions made it safer for women to have abortions. Maybe you never read anything on wade vs. Roe but you might learn a lot if you did more research
Peace out!
Good Bye!

Think about it for a minute, leaders are only pro-life (or even pro-choice) to get elected. No President can "get rid of" abortions; the general abortion rate remains virtually constant, the only thing that changes is whether these procedures are conducted legally by doctors in hospitals or illegally by concerned volunteers or evil profiteers in unsanitary conditions in back-alley abortion clinics.

Think about the consequences before you support a political position!

It is not possible to legislate life's realities out of existence just because you don't approve!

LOL He never planned on getting rid of abortions. Religious/moral issues are big vote getters, and abortion and gay marriage issues helped garner many of the votes he got.
Keep in mind that the president is appointing conservative judges. That increases the possibility that someday way down the road abortions will be ruled illegal.

that's a stable question and one I savour answering. i'm expert-existence The loss of life penalty is meant to punish an evil guy or woman as against an threat unfastened guy or woman which is composed of a fetus. regardless of the actuality that the difficulty is that threat unfastened human beings do die in the loss of life penalty. weapons on the same time as used suitable shelter human beings, that's a classic certainty that places with looser gun rules have decrease crime costs. So definitely possessing a gun will decrease returned the possibilities of somebody getting killed. As for conflict, I definitely have been perplexed approximately this one those days myself. i visit appreciate how conflict is particularly circumstances necessary yet now no longer civilian casualties and not preemptive conflict. so because of the fact it particularly is my handle it.

i dont know where to begin with this one. First, there is something called checks and balances built into the gov. which prohibit the executive branch(the president) from doing whatever he wants. And then there are states rights, which vary and must ultimately follow federal law, but can differ in degrees. The president is president, not god.

remember, no american president or even the senate or house of representatives had the balls to legalize abortion with legislation. It was a sick supreme court that legalized abortion in the early 70s even though there is no law on any book that said abortion was legal or illegal. Therefore, abortion will have to be gotten rid of through the courts, and Bush has appointed some good judges.

Because he's actually PRO DEATH. See how many people he's killed?
Why should politicians have all the power to decide a religious issue? It should be left up to the individual. Not church leaders. Not politicians. Because if they outlaw abortion, then they are going to start outlawing many things. Also, if someone pushes their beliefs on abortion, then why shouldn't people be able to tell them that they can't practice their religion? Seems fair, after all, they want to get in your business, why can't you get into theirs?

The president doesn't have total power so he could be pro-kill bots but nothing would happen unless the house and senate agree with him.
