I am hoping to enrol onto the ACCA exams (Accounting) hopefully within the next 6 months hopefully with an employer sponsoring me.
There are 3 parts to the qualification.
Part three asks us to choose and take 2 modules out of the 4 options.

1.Audit and assurance services
2.Advanced Taxation
3.Performance management
4.Business information management

I cannot make my mind up as to which 2 i should enrol for. I was hoping to ask you guys and girls for some advice. Could you also tell me which you would choose and why you would choose them

Assuming you begin from scratch (i.e. that you'll be writing all 14 papers, with no exemptions), you have at least 18 months to make your decision. That gives you pleny of time to gain an understanding of the different specialisms in the profession. The syllabus is changing next year, so unless you're eligible to go directly into part three, it's likely that the choice of optional papers availabe to you will infact be between;

1. Advanced Financial Management
2. Advanced Performance Management
3. Advanced Taxation
4. Advanced Audit and Assurance

(any two of the four).

I'm certain that by the time you have choose between papers, you will have a very good idea of which route to take. I made my choice on the basis of my intended career path.

I couldn't be absolutely certain, but from the looks of it 1&2 tend towards Public Practice, while 3&4 tend towards Industry & Commerce.
Thus depending on which way you want to take your career, select 1&2 or 3&4
Why not contact the ACCA and ask them?
They also have a website www.acca.org.uk
