I wore my winter coat and boots and had my gloves with me when I drove to my mother's today in the snow storm. It wasn't cold but really but I wanted to be prepared in case I went off the road. My daughter (age 15) didn't bother wearing winter gear so I figured if anything actually did happen I'd be giving her my coat to wear. The 50 minute drive actually took 1 hr 20 minutes but that's because I drove slow just to be safe.

i move all my furniture and clothing into rented storage before i go shopping, "just in case" there's a fire or burglary while i'm out.
i always keep a babysitter on retainer "just in case" we ever have a child.
i always keep all the road kill i can find "just in case" 'daniel boone coonskin hats' ever come back into style. then i'm a freakin' genius. if not, then i'm just an like any other ordinary guy with a shed full of rotting carcasses.
