I'm reserved at Rio & Paris hotels. Any particular room to request? I'm sure the strip is no place to be with kids at midnight, especially with drunks all over the place.

Go to the parking lot of the Orlean's Hotel/casino (go west on Tropicana from the strip), that's the best place to to see all of them. The fireworks are shot off of the roofs of the strip hotels so if you are inside a strip hotel then your view is pretty minimal. If you choose between the Rio and the Paris, I'd go with the Rio since it's off strip and you may have a better chance of seeing most of them.

Las Vegas really isn't a place to take the kids for New Year's Eve. However, since you've already made reservations, you might get a better view of the fireworks from the window of the Paris hotel.

So that the kids don't get too bored sitting around in the room, you might want to bring along some fun activities for them to do with you until they fall asleep.

Kids of any age have no business in Vegas. That said, sometimes you must bring them...so there are services that some of the hotels offer to entertain the kids while you are out. Sort of like a babysitting service that tailors it to the age of the child. There are more than drunks around in Vegas and more than on New Years. There is porn openly displayed by people on the street, pick pockets and all kinds of people that your kids should not be exposed to... Vegas is ADULT. Drinking, Gambling, Prostitution, Partying, Pornography etc etc. It's too raunchy for kids.

i'm constructive each and every inn does its very own ingredient for new Years, yet specific motels on the Strip shoot fireworks over the Strip from their rooftops. The Strip is insane for new 12 months's and the traditional sentiment among the folk who stay this is that they intend to stay as a techniques from the Strip as available that evening. I trust the folk who reported places far flung from the Strip. this is safer, this is a techniques much less traumatic, and you will certainly have the skill to verify the fireworks.

No offense but it is not a good idea to bring your kid to Vegas anytime of the year. Especially New Years. I was there last New Years and it was so packed in the streets you couldn't walk and a 2 hour wait for any bathroom. There is nothing for kids to do and you would have more fun without them.
