Gran gave me a lift into town and filled up with petrol on the way while I got some tobacco. A guy told her to hurry up so she said 'the last dude that told me what to do Never got out of my freezer.' I mean, is that reasonable or should we keep an eye on her?

She reminds me of my own mother. When on a bus at night there were rowdy teenagers acting up and upsetting people. She went to the driver and told him to divert the bus to the nearest police station. (this was before buses had radio links) He said on what authority. She said 'Mine I'm arresting them as my right as a citizen.' The teenagers yelled she's an under cover copper and got off! She was in her 60's.
She also went at night to a very dangerous estate and got lost, so she went up to the queue of drug dealers and spoke the biggest guy and told him she was lost and looking for her grandaughters house. He left the queue and escorted her to the house and told my daughter off for allowing her gran to roam around in the night as you never know who she might meet. My mum thought he was a sweet and polite young man and had every faith she would be ok, as no matter how hard you are in Wales no one but no one touches a granny or they have the whole community onto them.

Ah, I see your grandmother is an amature butcher, well, I won't argue with her! Lest I'm in the freezer next. Your grandmother isn't from Prescott, Merseyside, is she, if so, she may match my grandmother for being a tough one!

Naa she can stick up for herself just fine lol! Nothing wrong with a grandma who clearly understand how to stick up for herself ....

I'd say good for her.... unless you're not telling the whole story.
The old are always easier targets. She did what more and more people are afraid of - she stood up for herself.

you know what old people are like... it dosen't sound like it could be a problem, but best to be careful, if she says anything offensive then it could be, to answer your quistion i think shes fine to be out on her own
