Try the fact that the primary person responsible for you- IS YOU. If you won't stand on your own feet, you are dumping responsibility on others. That means you lack pride, self esteem, character.
Want those things? Want the feeling that comes from being proud of who you are?
Then- do the things that would make you proud of yourself. Or- settle for being a loser/user.

The very fact that you want to change your pattern of behaviour means you are half way to doing so.
The way I cope is to have only one thing at a time on my 'got to do list' that way I don't get overburdened with guilt because there is a long, never ending list of 'got to do things' on my desk. It's not a perfect system but it works reasonably well for me.
Finally, too much so-called self-discipline is as bad as too little, so keep cool!

Wow!. Good Q. I've always had great self control and discipline. But nothing comes into my mind as to a answer for you. Just don't sit down. And do something other than watch TV.

I convince myself that it is a live or die situation. I pretend that if I don't do it I'll die. That's as grave a situation as you can get. That's how I get myself to do a workout every morning as soon as I get out of the bed. I can't miss a day cause them I'm thinking about strokes, heart attacks, clogging arteries, you know. I guess I'm a little extreme, but it works for me.
Have a great New Year!

Hunger/cold/heat all create the need to do for the self.
If doing hwat you want gets what you need why worry?
Get rid of the 'should dos' and enter in the I will do.
Should dos, or be doings are what other people expect form looking at you.
So get looking at YOU and into I will do for me!

Pick one or two things you want to accomplish for the next day. Don't make the list too long or you will give up, but anyone can do an item or two.

grew to become into thinking did you intend to have a newborn that early? i think of you're somewhat large as a mom. my mom did no longer worry spending time with me then. i'm having a similar loss of motivation to learn, and that i'm in college. It quite sucks to preserve each and every thing your self

I look out my door, down my street and see neighbours with plasmas, nice cars, plently of beer to drink, a supply of fags and lovely houses...................and they're on benefits..................
..................I am driven and disciplined to actually work for what I've got!
Just think of the pleasure you'll get from work that YOU'VE done, even if it's round the house, YOU'VE acheived that goal you found it difficult to start............good luck
