OK, so its christmas, the holiday of over indulgence and generic stomach upsets. A lot of people eat too much and get bloated (I normally do!)..
But a day before the gorge-fest began, my appetite began to fade, not for lack of hunger, but because I got full halfway through my dinner. I usually have a pretty healthy appetite, but for the past few days I just can't manage food. Today, I put lunch off till well after 14:00, and still felt really stuffded after eating a few cold cuts and some celery!
I skipped dinner earlier, but had a bowl pof fruit salad about half an hour ago, and I feel like i'm going to burst!
I've had something similar before, but it wasn't so severe and didn't last as long..

If it didn't come on so suddenly i'd be more concerned.. But what the hell is wrong with me?

that's kinda scary. i'd see a doctor. sudden loss of appetite can be a warning sign of some serious problems!

could be anxiety, the anticipation of stuffing yourself silly causing you to lose your appetite. You mention that this has happened before (eating a little then getting so full you feel about to burst) so it may be worthwhile seeing your GP. other than that relax and dont think to much about food and eat when your hungry!

Sounds a cop out, but it's true - is it stress? It has a major impact on the physiology of the body.

Do you have any other symptoms? Lack of/Increase in sleep? Poorer concentration? Low motivation, feelings of worthlessness...? Could be Mild Dpression if you have. COnsult your doctor.

You've not happened to have started on nicotine replacement therapy have you? That has an almost instant effect on my appetite.
Other than that random suggestion, I'm not really sure what it could be. And you are quite sure it isn't emotional? Are you drinking more with your meals? You aren't using different sized plates?

I don't eat as much as others and I can understand what you mean. As long as there are no severe consequences-dizziness, lack of energy, great loss of weight-I see no reason why you should force yourself to eat.

Please be very careful.
Take it from someone who knows.
If I don't eat for two days, it can lead to not eating for maybe 3 months.
The EDA (Eating Disorders Association) are helpful.
Good luck

It is hard to believe. Maybe, you see food enough?

Try a tuna rye sandwich with a pickle
