I do it all the time, was in Germany for 4 years, my home is where the Army sends me. My original home NJ, I havent been there in 10 years now, and I dont ever plan on going back. I like where im at now.... it was hard at first to leave my town I grew up in, but seeing the world is nice.

I think so, i dont get homesick. I was once away from home for nearly a month and it felt great... but then again a month compared to 3 years is a big difference.

No, I would love to be able to just stay in my home and not have to go out and earn a living! And to be away for 3 years would be unthinkable for moi!

operative word used is YOU, meaning whoever answers, my answer is yes, if however you mean people in general, then the best answer would be It depends on who you are, where and what your needs are, what kind of home are you leaving and how much support you have both from family and friends

I think that after a couple of days with out being home, I'd be home sick. So I don't think so.
