802.11n should be backwards compatible with b/g, so any 802.11b or 802.11g cards should work with an 802.11n router, just at slowers speeds.

Depending on the router, all connections (including 802.11n ones) may be forced to drop down to 802.11 b/g speeds if anybody connects with a b/g card, however. Ensuring the best speeds generally requires all the connecting cards to be the highest speed.

First, you have to know that it really isn't "N" - it's only a draft of the N specification. It should currently be backwards compatible, but that might change with more drafts.

yes they go backwards....just like USB do...you can connect to a N router with a A/B/G card ..But you can't connect to a G router with a N card...Thanks

Yes it is. Also, it has a much better range and stronger signal that Wireless G and others.
