can anyone help me? I only have 1 usb port on my computer, my mouse has a usb connection but when i plug it into a usb 4 port hub it does'nt work. There is no fault with the hub as my printer and scanner work when plugged in. I have got the correct drivers installed for the mouse.

USB ports come in pairs never as a single port, check the rear of your PC I'm sure you will be delighted to find more.

I know this may sound stupid but the mouse may not beable to run though the usb hub. This is because USB is a tricky peice of hardware. For example you cannot have a modem connected to a pc via usb past 5 metres because it cannot travle long distance.

I RECCOMEND you purchase a ps2 to USB adaptor so basically you can plug a USB mouse into an actul mouse socket.

Look at this website for an idea:

But that is a perfect example and that will 100% work!
Hope it helps,

check in the back of your computer for loose connections,
your computer should have more than one port.
Disconnect, make sure everything is turn on, also, could be the mouse like someone said earlier, however, check for loose cables, unplug and plug everything back.

Have you checked the mouse is clean, if you have ball type rather than optical, you may have a bit of fluff etc bunged in there, slip the ball out and check

initially, make certain you have a printer put in on the laptop. this is the main important clarification for this mistake. 2nd,flow to document->Print as a replace of clicking the print button. this could show you how to decide on your printer. that is complaining because you haven't any longer have been given any printer set because of the fact the default, so the only-click print button would not be attentive to the place to print to.

Maybe it's your mouse pad. Take it off the mouse pad and see if it will work on a different surface.

This happened to me and a year later it happened to my daughter on her computer.

Sounds wierd but we had to buy new mouse pads.
