I WAS 37 WHEN i GOT PREGNANT I started the fertility treatments when I was 25 had a laprascope tubes were blocked healed after that still no pregnancy I went on several rounds of clomid I actually went through the time they do a vaginal ultrasound first day of your period and all through the cycle they did blood tests to make sure I had the right hormones and I had to go for a post coital exam (take about embarrassing) they examimined you right after sex, then they did a sperm count on my husband they were low but told me they sould work with it after taking fertility pills and I was ovulating they gave me a shot to release the eggs then they took his sperm washed it and used only the healthy ones then the use a cathider to put the sperm right near the egg then you have to lay there for 30 minutes, then you come back 14 days later and get a pregnancy test, what a slap in the face when it came back neg. that was it I decided I was done I gave it my best shot I just wasn't going to get pregnant. then my husband went deer hunting and we tracked the deer through the woods and he dragged the 200lb deer through the woods. he got to the path and said you better calla doctor I think I have a hernia, so I made the appointment with an urologist and the first thing the doctor asked him is do you have any kids? and my husband said no as a matter of fact we are going through fertility treatments right now, the doctor said well here is your problem your spermoric cord is all twisted, to anyone else everything looked normal, he said it could have happened when he was young so he was scheduled for surgery and 3 monthe later I was pregnant. But it gets weirder, I take care of hospice patiants and I was getting ready to leave and she grabbed my arm (no this woman was coma-tose for days) and she said I saw your daughter she told me to tell you she will be here soon! I blew it off because at the time I had no idea that I was pregnant at the time. and yes I did have a girl and she was the first girl born on my husbands side for ove 60 years and she is also a millinium baby I went into labor on valentines day she was born the 16th by c-section but she has a heart shaped birthmark right on her leg, and yes the deer head is hanging on the wall. So never ever give up I am living proof that miracles do happen, and I let her know every single day she is my blessing. I wish you good luck because I will never ever forget how it feels to want a baby so bad, and my heart hurts for every woman that is trying have faith in God and he will bless you as he did me.

A family friend of mine tried for three and a half years before she got pregnant at 43. She was able to carry the baby full term with minimal complications, but her baby is autistic. Statistically it has been said that after 35 (ish) 90% of your eggs are abnormal. I am not saying this to be mean, just so you know the facts.

I have heard that the less you focus and stress on getting pregnant the greater your chances are of winning the fight. Fertility drugs are out there as well.....

Good luck I hope you are able to conceive.

Take it easy and if you dont succeed try try again. Eat healthy . Do not focus too much on becoming pregnant because it can ruin the intimacy of your relationship. After a year if you have failed to conceive get yourselves checked out by a specialist. It worked for us.

I've been told to check again with the doctor(s).
Check the hormone levels...cuz over time...things change.
Check your stress levels....
Are you exercising? Eating healthy? Sleeping well?
