On the Veterans Administration website you will find a list of approved lenders (who will gladly take your application and process this for a VA loan).

You can start the process by applying for a certificate of eligibility (you will need your discharge papers) - you can obtain the form on line. http://www.va.gov/

Go to Benefits (left hand side of the page and go to home loans). You will find all the information you are looking for. They are good loans (helps you to qualify for a higher loan to value without mortgage insurance). The VA loans sometimes require the seller to pay your closing costs (another winning situation for you). You need to find the right lender, just make sure you look at the approved list of lenders under Benefits..

..if you are a vet go to the website for the veterans administration and start in like all govt shitt it will take you thru miles of red tape and garbage trying to frustrate you into quiting the search ..... stay on it that is the only way ... if you served as a vet in a combat zone use that as a club to beat them with unmercifully they deserve it but you deserve what they promised all of us who served. Keep at it until they relent and keep track of every e-mail ,every phone call every scrap of paper every last little detail including the name and position of those you talk with so that you can use it to chole them with later if it comes to that DO NOT GIVE UP good luck .....

Find mortgage broker who is government lending approved. They will walk you through step by step. You must get your eligibility form first. Go to the local VA and they will get that for you if you do not already have one. That is the first step.

just apply. Talk with a VA Loan Officer who can list your benefits by getting a VA loan, and to make sure you qualify.
