If it's based on a sour relationship, time heals. If it's meant to happen, it will. The major thing is don't worry over something you can't control. That could be a lot of things, huh? As for beer (mmmmmm!) just realize that's a temporary solution and probably won't solve your problem, just dull the senses for a day or night. You could also go for a bike ride, a walk, skip rocks on a pond, go to a park with your dog, talk to a friend or family member, write a note to someone or to yourself, draw a picture, or you can just wait it out and weather the storm.

Lol never try to hide ur emotions, let them out, because it is said that the strongest person in the world, is someone who isnt afraid to hide their emotions, so, go to ur room, and just cry, beat on a pillow, do what ever helps, then come out, and grab a cup of cffee, or somehing to drink, and go watch an old classic movie that youve always liked lol

I would play guitar. I learn how to play it by myself so i am not a professional, I just get the guitar and play some psalms, it always work good for me. There is a saying that says "man don't cry" but it feels good when you let everything inside of you come out through tears and psalms.
