Exactly what is weird to you?

Some of my classmates used to think I was the weird kid. I was smarter than they were. I was incredibly shy. My family didn't have alot of money so I wore second hand clothes (most of the time my pants were to short). I was teachers pet. I was given accelerated work for studies.

I was as tall as the teachers and super skinny with braces on my teeth. I had freckles and pig tales.

If any of these things are what you mean by weird, well then you should talk to them. They are people too. Take a stand and maybe even be a friend. You might be surprised.

Nobody is the really wierd kid, people say that so they have a reason to tease and make fun of you, not knowing that YOUR going to be the successful person out of all the class. Then they are going to be jealous, so your not the weird kid, your the successful one!

I know where your coming from asking this Q, you may get some answers along the lines of "what is weird ?" or "its good to be different". Looking back, I had a couple of "weird" kids in my class & now i wish i'd taken the time to talk to them because in my case there the ones who were far more interesting than the so called kool kids.

Why not be their friend, even the weird kid needs friend, you never know that person may be thinking about doing harmful stuff to their selves, thinking no one likes them and why live you could save their life and possibly have a friendship that will last forever, and just so you know everyone is weird in their own way..I'm sure there are people in your class that may think you're weird. Put the shoes on your feet how would you want to be treated?

The question really should be is why are you judging someone you probably don't even know? Why do you consider them weird and why can't you just allow someone to be themselves without labeling them? Perhaps you are just so busy trying to be like everyone else you have lost what makes you unique. Maybe you could learn a lot from the 'weird' kid. Who isn't afraid to be who he is regardless of what others' thing.

You will never regret being extraordinarily kind to a kid who doesn't fit in. Imagine if you were "wierd" and could do nothing about it. How would you hope to be treated. That will give you some good clues.

God Bless you....

I WAS the weird kid in my class. Weirdness rocks. Don't look down on people who are different than you. Have a heart and at least be polite to them.

I was the "weird kid". And guess what? When I hit college I blossomed into the popular smart kid.

Nerds rule.
