I just read something about the similarities between Bush and Hitler, it did make me laugh because it is a little bit over the top to say that. But it said, Hitler was trying to liberate Russia from the evil dictator, Stalin, just like the stuation in Iraq, that kind of made me think. But overall the comparison was a little far fetched! I was just wondering if anybody else thought that the comparison was corrrect.

I'm not laughing about anyone dying either! I'm laughing because people are comparing Bush to Hitler, a man who exterminated millions of people. But on the other hand thousands of Iraqi's have died because of him.

No I don't think that Hitler liberated anybody, but that is what he said he was doing according to the person who wrote the article. It just makes me think that maybe Bush is telling us all that he is liberating Iraq when he has many other motives for invading the country.

No!!! I do not hate Bush!! Where did I say this? I am trying to see what other peoples opinions are. I am interested to know what other people think of the situation. As soon as Bush even gets mentioned in any question, people will rant and rave trying to defend the man. Sometimes we all have to question what our leaders are doing. Agreed???

Like two peas in a pod.
“Naturally the common people don't want war; neither in Russia, nor in England, nor in America, nor in Germany. That is understood. But after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.”
Hermann Göring(Nazi) 1946 Nuremberg Trials

"It is enough that the people know there was an election. The people who cast the votes decide nothing. The people who count the votes decide everything." Joseph Stalin

This is a terrible comparisson for a number of reasons. First off, Hitler tried to take over the world. Although people might say "so is Bush", regardless, Hitler waged a world war, while Bush is not fighting wars around the globe for the purposes of territorial agression. Second, Hitler took over the German government, and declared Aryans the master race. Bush was elected (yes the electoral college counts as being elected), and has simply preached democracy as the ideal form of government. Opposed to Bush, Hitler did however bring Germany out of an economic depression (Although it didn't last too long), while Bush has raised the national debt to far greater heights than ever before. And here's the big one: Hitler commited mass genocide against the German people and other conquered territories, reaching estimates of nearly 6 million Gypsies, Homosexuals, dissidents, prisoners of war, and nearly 6 million Jews - totaling 12 million. This took place from 1938 until early 1945. Im no expert, but i don't believe Bush has done the same in the last 5 years, not to mention that fighting a war, and killing armed militants is anything BUT genocide.

Whoever came up with this comparsion needs to do some serious fact checking, or it must be recognized that this was just a seriously incorrect humorous comparisson.

I should know about similarities.

1.Adolf Hitler wanted prestige and power for the German people and wanted to right the wrongs of the first world war.
1 Bush wanted to right the wrongs of the first gulf war. And bring prestige to the American people.

2 Hitler went on to invade country after country.
2 Bush - Afghanistan, Iraq, Somalia via Ethiopia, Lebanon via Israel, next Iraq? North Korea?

3. Hitler Thought Jews were terrorists.
3. Bush thinks that Muslims are terrorists.

4Hitler set up concentration camps where Jews were put without trial.
4 Guess what bush did.

But the most important similarity is how the flags fly behind them and that eagle emblem as they whip up enthusiasm for these evils. And finally, when their world started to unravel, they could not see it. They also had side kicks - Mussolini and Blair!

I don't know how anyone could think that Hitler invaded Russia to liberate the Russians when we all know he was after the Russian oil fields and he thought that when the time was right Stalin would invade Germany so he had to strike first. What he did not know was that the Russian intelligence service being on of the best in the world knew that the Japanese were not going to invade in the east so Stalin could bring a lot of his eastern army to fight the Germans

Ok in my opinion Bush is in line with Hitler as they both have a disregard for human life . I think that at the end of the day both are deluded people who have been given power and certainly used it to their own advantage .
ALSO may I just point out that people on here take all this a little too seriously this is a good orignal Q .

Not even remotely close or funny. Hitler overthrew the German government, utilizing a weakness in their legal system and had been in trouble with the law for years. Hitler ignored the sovereign rights of nations. Hitler also worked over the liberal Neville Chamberlain to get the Sudatenland.
One of Hitler's first moves was to legislate stricter gun control.
Hitler ignored wantonly the Treaty of Versaile and began an arms race/military build up.

Mr. Bush was elected into office, not once but twice.
Mr. Bush tried to get the U.N. to uphold it's own sanctions in the U.N. sponsored cease fire agreement with Iraq.
Mr. Bush (and the U.S. legislature) tried using diplomacy for months before agreeing to go to war.
Mr. Bush had the backing of many nations before going to war.
Mr. Bush did not try and increase the numbers of our armed forces prior to finding our way into a two front war -- the very one the dem.s said would never again happen. And the Titanic didn't need lifeboats.

the reason human beings study Bush to Hitler is to magnify to make an result. This exaggeration is justified considering by no ability can we choose all of us on the point of being a Hitler as president of the U. S.. for instance, even although Hitler detained thousands of thousands of German electorate with out trial, the actual incontrovertible truth that Bush has detained numerous hundred ; and positioned some on trial, is so close as to warrant evaluation. those kind of movements are antithetical to our values. even although Hitler tried to conquer the western international, and so contributed to the deaths of thousands of thousands of thousands, Bush attacked basically a unmarried u . s . ensuing in basically a million deaths. though, that u . s . replaced into no probability to us and reallyI justifies the evaluation. in addition, Hitler did gruesome medical experiments, and all forms of torture. Bush, on the different hand, basically admits to particular sorts of what maximum human beings evaluate torture. for instance, he believes torture as a lot because the point of huge organ failure or death is curiously permissible.Nor does he out water-boarding. yet back, pondering we are u . s . the position torture is expressly unlawful, the concept Bush ought to torture in any respect is sufficient to warrant an exaggerated evaluation to Hitler, i imagine. once back, i favor to pressure that the evaluation is for result. If we were to rank leaders on scales of mass homicide, torture, denial of human rights, privateness, freedom of speech and assembly, George Bush would almost actual be on the bottom of the dimensions, considering there have been this kind of large number of which have engaged in this kind of habit. for instance, maximum dictators does not enable any public criticism. Bush helps public criticism with the help of eliminating those human beings to important zones in the back of barbed cord. while the click is in many circumstances owned with the help of the state, in this u . s . the click is owned with the help of a few businesses, who curry want with the politicians with the help of burying and ignoring information for leisure thoughts. yet not perpetually.

What you read was purely opinion not at all fact. So if Hitler was saving the Russians from a dictator what was his reasons for attacking France and England? Hitler was on a quest to rule the world and create a master race. He wasn't interested in saving anyone from anything. Tell whoever wrote the stuff you read that they are full of SH*T !!

This is a really moronic question. Does your hatred for Bush run so deep that you compare him to one of the worst mass murderers of all time?

I am no fan of Bush, but for cryin' out loud, Hitler slaughtered over 11 million undesirables. (According to CBS news, that number may be as high as 17 million!) That does not include those killed battle. The Nazis used these undesirables for experiments more gruesome than you can possibly imagine. Prison guards used them for target practice. Bush has done nothing that even compares to that. People who make this comparison are maybe two or three steps shy of Holocaust Denial.
