They are here because we U.S. citizens routinely break the law by hiring them to provide us with services and goods. And ignore the "mutuality illegality" of our relationship and just want to point the finger at them!
So how in the hell can we complain that they are here?
We wanted them here, offered them work, took their work, paid for their labor, looked the other way at the law, and so did they!
So what's the beef USA?
You asked for it, wanted it, paid for it, and you got it!
Cheap off the books labor. Now shut up about it already.

Some Personal Background:
I'm an architect. When I quote union and non-union costs to my clients, and let them know that the non-union lower cost contractors use illegals, they don't give a damn. They go with the lowest bid. And my clients are all Republicans. "Money is money" is how they see it.

P.S. The illegals I oversee are skilled builders, electricians, and carpenters. Not cherry pickers.

fr_chuck - It comes from the top on down. If my client wants the best value, and I tell them, then that's their call. Legally, the client hires the contractor not me. I really don't even have to tell them about the illegal part. That's the contractors business if the hire illegals. I just tell them as a moral service. As if they would care anyway.

Since you seem relatively well educated and not one of the usual racist yahoos on here, I will respond.
The simple fact is these people are not "Bad for the U.S". They add to our economic productivity as a nation and help keep inflation in check.
I could go on but most of the people who carry on negatively about "Illegals" are sinply ignorant about economics, perceive thing from a very skewed perspective and, frankly, racist.
We get much more benefit from so-called illegals than they could possibly "take" from the U.S.

Just because of that, first you should not even be allowing a bid from illegal companies, so itis people with no respect for the law that are the problem.
If there was no illegal labor, then all labor would be on even footing, They are taking away American jobs,
You would change your opinion if they started using a illegal alien who would do your job at 1/2 price, then these people would not need to hire you.

My husband is from Mexico, He works very hard. When I first met him he was being paid less than minimum wage and had been paid that way for 3 years. Now I he is paid what he is worth. He has trown cement for many many new home that are being built by these big name companies that look for contractors that have illegal alliens working for them. So of the people tht are complaining about them being here need to go alook back at the houses they live in and see how many illegal aliens helped build it.

I didn't hire them, some corporation did.
You want to hold them liable as well, fine with me, but for you to say it is ok to break the rules because someone else did is just stupid. Both the illegals and the people hiring them should be punished.
If you want to live and work here, then do it by legal means, otherwise get the hell out!

The beef is the fact that they get the benefits of citizenship without the cost. Plus the fact that no other government allows an alien to live in their country without a visa and why should we? Now they expect the rest of us to learn their language. If they want to live with us, let them earn it. I have absolutely no problem with legal aliens. Come through the proper channels and become citizens. Welcome.

your rudeness aside, criminals hired them so they could make more money, not the majority of the US. the majority of us see them and the people who hire them as criminals. that's why they are enacting new laws for these people to break--so that when they get caught, they go to jail for a longer time. now, if we could just get a law for the people leaving rude messages on the internet...

For the same reason that tax evasion is bad for the US...it benefits an under-the-table business engaged in criminal activity.

I haven't hired any illegal aliens and I have none on my payroll so your generalization "we" does not apply. I have not "asked for it".
