It has been said 'No'! But I would like to defy those odds. Can it not be true? Is there any living examples out there. The Readers Digest said that it is only possible if they repulse eachother. Surely not?

My best friend is a guy the I have known for over 7yrs.
He has been for me thru thick and thin, he's closer than my own brother. He is the one I go over for "guy" advise and I know I can trust with my secrets.
He would come over sometimes and spend the night or leave really late. We can carry a conversation that long.
There's no sexual attraction between us because our friendship is so great it goes past that point, (no he is not gay)
I am not the only one who her best friend is a guy, I know several people like us.

Girly I wish this could be so. I like hanging out with boys better than with girls. Not in a slutty way totally innocent, but the boys always endup falling for me or ignore me because they aren't interested in me romantically. Let me know what is your secret.

Its a bunch of BS! I have been in EMS for 11 yrs and have several male partners that I consider friends that I do NOT sleep with. Several female partners who agree with me! It is definitely possible.

I have had many platonic relationships with men. In high school and also as an adult. I think you have to be mature enough to not think about everyone sexually. My best friend is a man.

i have plenty of male friends, so yes they can! and i dont find them repulsive but i would never feel the need to sleep with anyof them.

i think its harder for the men, because they cant control them selves!

As long as there is truly no romantic interest from either party, then they can be friends.

But you never know.
