I'm sure you mean "Charles Dickens", not "Dickenson". And yes, I've read "Hard Times" and found it fascinating. Less so because of its plot and style (Dickens wrote much more ripping yarns, such as "A Tale of Two Cities"; and stylistically more elaborate novels, such as ""Great Expectations"), but because of its topic and setting. This is one of the earliest "mainstream" novels on the social and even ecological effects of industrialisation in the North of England and a fascinating early discussion on the values of traditional individual ethics (clearly preferred by Dickens) and the up and coming group ethics determined by class.

Definitely worth reading.
