Tends to happen more in Winter I reckon, caused by dampness and cold.

Sorry, have to disagree; there's NEVER a break light out. A brake light, yes, occasionally.........!

But then how would you know it if there weren't 1 or 2 operating ones still present? Incidently, the rate of brake light outage increased suddenly by 50% a few years ago when your government, in their wisdom, mandated a 3rd light to do what 2 (and sometimes even 1)had done fine for about 100 years...........

there are 3 reasons that the mild will stay on. a million) grasp cylinder is low 2) tension differential swap is tripped with the aid of unequal pressures in the two structures. 3) the emergency brake has a swap to warn the motive force that the e brake is on. I even have seen on countless events that this swap the two gets unplugged a technique or the different, or gets out of adjustment. as for the 4 lighting fixtures that dont artwork, get available with a multimeter and start up testing for the failure, bulbs, floor, ability area(s). with the aid of multitude of bulbs no longer working, I would desire to have self assurance which you will have a floor area situation.

bulb filaments are very fragile. until the recent invent of halogen and other types of bulbs car bulbs were similar, if not the same as, home bulbs and we all know how fragile those are.

i always like to check my lights when i've got reflective cars in front of or behind me, usually big trucks with chrome grills or big tailgates at night. it would suck to get pulled over for a broken tail light and something else is going on, drunk, hooker, whatever. stupid fragiles light filaments

Break [sic] light failure is usually a broken filament. Trouble is that you can't see it when you are driving so you don't know. Newer cars use tend to LEDs which should outlast the car.

Stupidity, nothing more...

You should conserve by braking less so the lights will last longer.....sike. Just kidding.

I think you just notice something more when you're looking for it.
