I hate people who bother to make idiotic comments to serious questions....

Anyways.....
It is perfectly normal for your cycle to be off sometimes.

If this continues to happen month after month for at least 4 or 5 months though I would check with your Gyno to be sure there is nothing to be concerned about.

I agree w/Akire74 on the stupid comments too, if you don't have something worthy to say go away. She's right hon, it's normal to have a period twice and nothing to worry about if it doesn't continue happening. When I 1st got my period, many years ago, I had it for up to 4 mos, twice a month..1st at the beginning then at the end. I just contributed it to the time frame. After that, it never happened again and my periods became regular, on a regular basis. If after 4 or 5 mos goes by and you're still having them twice, I'd call my doctor and ask him/her if you should come in for an appt. You can call now if you'd like some peace of mind...they're there to help you always. Good luck.

Not necessarily but if you are concerned you should see a Dr. It may have been that you were stressed or upset of had a drop in hormones. My periods were fortnightly from the get go to the end and only taking the pill stopped it and made it monthly. Keep a diary and note when it starts and finishes and anything that happened that was unusual, this information is good to have when having anything investigated by your Dr.

No it doesn't. December has 31 days.. an average cycle is 25 - 28 days. Do the math.

nothing is wrong when your cycle is short, you don't have to worry. some even have as early as 20 days cycle to 28 days. a month is 30-31 days.

It could mean that something is wrong. Consult with a OB/Gyn doctor.
