i have 3.5 ghz celron processor, 512 mb ddr ram and realtek on board soundcard. and ati raidon express graphics and a ge force fx5500 graphics card. it is really choppy when i play mp3 movies or any media. i tried changeing programs with no luck. media player, winamp and rahospdy is all choppy.

More memory fixed my choppy video. Make sure your virtual memory isn't disabled too.
A lot of programs running in the background can also mess up playback.

Maybe u should try adjusting ur prefrences so that the music will come out clearer becuz the same thing happened to me one time and thats all u have to do and everything will sound crystal clear once u do that.

you might be using an Un-compatible disk (the computer cant read the disk good) like this -> ex. your computer can read these disk types: --, +, and M-5 and the disk is a B-05, (that was an example, the types arent real) or check the grooves in the disk or dirtiness, the grooves have to be like this:
